061508 Andy Warhol digitized

So I learned how to do the Warhol technique through this wonderful tutorial: http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tutorials/or/warhol-pop-art-silkscreen.html

In my opinion, the more color you can bring into individual areas the better. I know you photo students were looking into how this is done, if you have time this summer give it a whirl. Select a photo with some mood to it. It should be zoomed or cropped into just the head and shoulders.
The mood I selected was cheeseball :D

I want to thank my wonderful husband for participating. Check out his work- he is amazing www.nicholasviltrakis.blogspot.com

Nature walks 051708

I love the springtime. Reflections have caught my attention lately and I love the way that edits can really bring out the abstract patterns. Im still playing around with new CS3 plugins and loving every step of the way. Tonal contrast is about all I am playing around with here.

San Francisco art work

I wanted to show off a little bit of the public art in SF. It may be lame to photograph other's art but I'm not trying to pass this off as my work- I'm just trying to share and spread appreciation. Hey- not all of us get the chance to travel. I will post my photographic art a bit later... Check my flickr for that now.
The graffiti there is so more amazing than much of what Ive seen here in Cinci- probably because it draws respect from business owners and the public.

The Haight
American Graffiti- Karate Kid Mucha? I love the hair from the Art Nouveau movement... search that.
Ive seen his stuff at Scribble Jam- One amazing festival you should see here at home in Cincinnati.
